My dad recently declared October 4 as the official FMCC Day and 2008 marks its 2nd anniversary. Two years na! Woohoo!

Just in time for this celebration, their second branch, found at Broadway Centrum along Aurora Boulevard, finally opened! Yay! Mas malapit na kesa sa Macapagal Avenue, Roxas Boulevard! Hehehehe :)

Even before the store officially opened on October 4, 2008, people kept going there asking to buy shirts from the representatives of FMCC. They kept trying to turn them away but they just wouldn't leave! Some would even explain how they came all the way from Laguna or some other far away city/province just to be able to buy the shirts! GRABE! 3 Stars and a Sun is doing so good and we're just all so grateful for all the blessings! :)

3 Stars and a Sun is currently avaialble at the Great Mall of China located at Macapagal Avenue, Roxas Boulevard, all X-Print stalls located at Trinoma, Market Market and VMall and now, at Broadway Centrum (the Eat Bulaga studio) located along Aurora Boulevard. Napakaganda ng story nito kaya I never hesitated in accepting the offer to play the role of Jessa (originally played by Ms. Sharon Cuneta). I don't deny that there is pressure, definitely. Pero I pray everyday na magawa ko ng tama and mabigyan ko ng justice ang role na ito. This is my very first mature role kaya sana, magustuhan ninyo lahat! :)

I've always loved my good friend Alessandra de Rossi.. I first met her on the set of Hanggang Kailan back when I was only 16 years old and since then, we have become best friends on and off the set. :)

I have learned so much from her.. She truly is, for me, the best actress of our generation. And even though she has been continuously bashed and bad-mouthed by the press and those who are just plain envious of her, here she is, still rising and getting what she deserves.

When I first heard the song, I was blown away. I couldn't believe that she was the one who arranged it ON HER LAPTOP! Garage Band lang!!! Grabe.. Talented talaga siya. Ang ganda ganda ng concept ng video na to and she was the one who came up with it. Also, she was the one who thought of launching her singing career on FHM since they had been courting her to grace their cover for four years now. Ngayon lang siya pumayag. And the conditions were that her single and video would be played on their official website.

Ang ganda nga nung photoshoot nila eh! They held it at the Manila Yacht Club kasi nga naman SAILING!!! Plus, it's the summer issue of the magazine.. BONGGA! :D

YAAAY! I'm so excited na!

This show truly is a great birthday gift.. Ngayon pa talaga 'to na-offer sakin and guess what, saktong NOVEMBER 23 (my birthday) talaga ako first mag-aappear sa show! AWW! :)

Alam niyo what would really make me happy? Birthday gift niyo na lang sakin ang pag-nuod ng Kamandag! I would really REALLY be happy if you guys would support the newest fantaserye of GMA.. Ang KAMANDAG. :D

Last Monday, New Media Incorporated (NMI) of GMA invited me (through my mom, of course) to drop by Richard's live chat session scheduled on November 15 (today) at 2pm-4pm as his surprise guest.

I was supposed to have class from 130pm-430pm today but decided to cut since it's only my second day of school. Puro orientation lang naman and I also wanted to surprise Richard, hehehe! :)

Anyway, the live chat session began at 2pm and I arrived at GMA just in time. Ms. Connie of NMI was sweet enough to fetch me at the lobby to bring me to the 12th floor and hide me kasi nga naman, surprise dapat! Hehe. :)

I stayed in the recording room for about 5 minutes and then was cued to enter na to surprise Richard.

SURPRISE!!!




Richard: OH! WOOOOW! Hello!
Maxene: (laughing) SURPRISE! Hahahaha!
Richard: Wow naman.. Na-surprise ako.. Ang sweet mo naman!
Maxene: Okay ba?? Okay? Hahahaha!
Richard: Eh asan na pasalubong kong food??
Maxene: Naku, sa Kamandag kasi, sanay ka na dinadalhan lagi ni Lily si Vergel ng suman at kung anu-ano.. Dito, ngayon, ako ang pasalubong mo! Hehe! :)

Hahaha! Soooobra siyang nagulat! As in! Well, at least successful naman yung surprise. :)

Sa lahat ng mga nakipag-chat kay Richard, thank you so much! And sana, nagulat and natuwa kayo sa aking surprise visit.. Watch out for it tomorrow on 24 Oras. :)

It's true that both Richard and I come from a family of celebrities. Our parents and grandparents are considered as veterans in the Philippine showbiz industry kaya naman we both want to make them proud. :)

Working on the set so far has been really fun.. My scenes came out well naman so I hope that I won't disappoint anyone. Sana, magustuhan niyo lahat. I know I haven't been super active in showbiz lately and it's because of my studies but now, I hope that you would give me a chance to redeem myself. :)

GRABE GUYS!

I just got home from my very first day on the set of Kamandag! Yes, it's true that we had our first taping day yesterday (October 15) and it was held at different locations in Subic. I was told that my call time was at 6am ON THE SET and being the excited little girl that I was, I set my phone's alarm at 330am and left the house at around 4am. My supermom drove us all the way to Subic in about 2 and 1/2 hours (siyempre since it was our first time) and when we got on the set, our executive producer, Ms. Carol Reyes, told us "Oh, 8am pa kayo ah!" HAHAHAHA! Excited! Hindi, miscommunication lang. :) But at least, we got there early. Better than being late, right? :)

The first thing I did on the set was of course, EAT! I had a scrumptious breakfast of deep-fried bangus, tomatoes and rice. SARAAAP! :) I made chika first with Ms. Carol and Direk Mark. Direk Topel was handling the second unit which was in Malolos, Bulacan. Grabe noh? Career talaga!

A few minutes later, Mr. Kamandag himself, Richard, arrived and we stayed inside the waiting area until we were called for our first scene together. While waiting, we made kwentuhan about anything and everything under the sun! Yes, ChardMax bonded! Hahaha :D I also had my makeup done na. My character's name is Lily and I'm a simple probinsiyana na mag-uuling.. YES! Mag-uuling ako dito! Check out my makeup:


Oh diba?? Kung sila Chard may snake makeup and prosthetics, ako, may uling and dumi! I loved it! :) I even told the makeup artists to put as much dirt as they can.. Para authentic talaga!

And then, after lunch, it was time for Lily and Vergel's first scene together.

The verdict? It was awesome! Ang galing galing! I enjoyed doing it and can't wait to see it on air! Everything just fell into place. :)

Too bad Jewel and I didn't get a chance to bond as well since we didn't have scenes together yet.. We just said hello to each other, talked a little and that was it. Oh well, next time, next time. :)

I stayed on the set until 435am the next day.. Before, I used to be known as the Cinderella of Philippine show business because I was only allowed to work until 12am. But now, since Kamandag is a big project and I respect that fact, I stay on the set for as long as they need me there.

I arrived at my house at 730am na.. And now, I think it's time for me to get some beauty rest (NAKS!) since it will be our next taping day tomorrow (October 17, Wednesday). Can't wait! :)

As most of you know, I won't be Richard Guttierez's only "leading lady" on the upcoming fanataserye Kamandag. Ehra Madrigal and Jewel Mische are also going to be part of the show as Richard's ladies.

However, there are a lot of people who seem to think that the three of us are competing to become Richard's "main" leading lady when in fact, we're not. I personally feel so happy that I will be able to work with both of them! I don't have too many close showbiz friends other than Danica Sotto, Valerie Concepcion and Alessandra de Rossi so I'm glad that this show will bring me more. I'm looking forward to starting friendships with Ehra and Jewel. :-)

I admire them both very much. Ehra did such a great job on Lupin and is EXTREMELY sexy! I envy her! And I've heard so many great things about Jewel --she won Star Struck 4 of course and is currently studying Music at UP Diliman. Third year na pala siya! I'm so happy that there are other artists who also give time to their schooling as well as their showbiz careers. Don't get me wrong though, I also respect those who focus more on their careers. Either way, being able to start a career early is always a great blessing.

We had the story conference on September 5 on the 17th floor of GMA where I was finally able to know the plot of the show and meet the cast members. Lhar Santiago even interviewed me when the conference ended:

Anyway, Kamandag is a fantasy series about a man who is actually part-snake which is why whenever he gets mad, his snakelike features come out and he isn't able to control himself very well. Very much like the Incredible Hulk.

Grabe, I'm so excited! This is such a big project and I'm really looking forward to working with its powerhouse cast: Richard Guttierez, Mark Anthony Fernandez, Francine Prieto, Melissa Mendez, Ronaldo Valdez, Johnny Delgado, Benjie Paras, Ehra Madrigal and Jewel Mische. I'm also happy that I'll finally get to work with direk Mark Reyes (whom I've worked with in Hanggang Kailan way back) again and direk Topel Lee, of whom I've heard such great things (he directed the hit movie Ouija).

Coming from Daddy Di Do Du, Love to Love, Hanggang Kailan and Saang Sulok ng Langit, this is definitely something different for me. This is my first time to join a tele-fantasya series --exciting pero nakakatakot! I don't know what to expect in this show other than it's gonna take long hours to shoot. Sana magawa ko ng tama and I hope that I will able to live up to everyone's expectations.

I've been reading people's comments in forums on PinoyExchange and news stories on Philippine Entertainment Portal and I have to say, I'm really flattered. Although there are some negative comments, it's okay.. I don't really mind. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. :-) pero sa lahat ng excited and masaya para sakin, THANK YOU! :-) I appreciate your support and sana, lalo niyo pa kong suportahan! :D

I also noticed that everyone keeps saying that I was supposed to be the original Alwina in Mulawin and that if I had just accepted the role, there wouldn't be an Angel Locsin today. Nakaka-flatter naman but I just have to beg to differ.. Oo, totoo na I was the original choice for the role but I didn't accept it because at that time, I was just about to enroll sa college. Sayang naman yung opportunity. I really REALLY wanted to do the show but for me kasi, studies come first. However, Angel, who has always been a dear friend of mine, was open to try new things. She had always told me that she really wanted to make it big in showbiz. Kaya I suggested her to sila ma'am Redgie of GMA during our meeting. I knew kasi that it was what Angel wanted. She definitely wanted it more than I did. It was a good thing she got the role and her career skyrocketed. I was soooo happy for her! And I had no regrets because I knew in my heart what I wanted to do. So, everything fell into place: I got to study at Ateneo and Angel got the career she had always wanted. Everybody happy, diba? :-)

I believe that if had accepted that role, siguro sisikat din ako ng todo. But I don't think that there wouldn't be an Angel Locsin today if I did accept that offer. Besides, Mulawin wasn't the only show offered to me. They also wanted to get me for Encantadia which I also didn't do because I was only in my sophomore year that time; madami pa ginagawa sa school. Anyway, Angel was bound to become famous either way. She was born to be famous! Kitang-kita naman eh! She really is very beautiful and talented, no one can deny that. Kaya hindi dahil sakin kaya siya sumikat --that was all HER.

Now, GMA offered me this show and I think it's about time that I try something different, something new. :-)

Another reason why I decided to join this new show is because I am acurrently in my fourth year of college. Konti na lang yung classes na kailangan ko i-take kaya magagawa ko naman siya. For the next semester, I will arrange my classes in a way that won't conflict with taping days. Kaya na ngayon kasi I'm well adjusted in college na, I know how it goes. Dati kasi, papasok pala ako ng college. Everything was going to be new for me kaya di ko kakayanin ipag-sabay yung Mulawin and my schooling. Kaya now that okay na, sanay na ko, magagawa ko na to --SANA! Hehehe. :-)

So, wish me luck guys and I hope that you will support this wonderful project and others that GMA has lined up just for YOU. Maganda to guys! Excited na ko!
